Animal Ambassador Bursary
A bursary of $1000 will be granted to graduating students seeking post-secondary education at a Canadian institution towards the study of animal welfare. To be eligible, applicants must have been assessed as having financial need or do not have sufficient financial resources to pursue your studies assessed by the committee. Tuition is paid directly to institutions on behalf of applicants to support fees. The awarding decision will be based on factors that include leadership, community/school involvement, future goals, academic achievement, essay and letter of recommendation. Students must complete an application to be considered for the bursary.
Applications need to be submitted no later than May 31st 2018 and can be submitted by mail to Unit 12 A 1839 1st Avenue, BC, V2K 2Y8 or by hand.
be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada;
be entering post-secondary studies for the first time;
a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant or permanent resident;
able to demonstrate financial need;
must have volunteered 100 Hours at an animal rescue, veterinary clinic or animal related organization;
preference will be given to students attending high school within Prince George
To be considered the student must write a one-two page letter describing career aspirations and plans to achieve those goals, including academic standing, extracurricular activities; community volunteering and reference letters from teachers, coaches and leaders of the community groups they were involved with.
